Mn/DOT schedules bituminous seal coating work on various sections of state highways in northwestern Minnesota
Bemidji, MN. -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is announcing the start of some preventive maintenance work in the form of bituminous seal coating on various sections of state highways in northwestern Minnesota beginning Wednesday, August 3rd. According to Earl Hill, Mn/DOT Project Supervisor, the following sections of state highways are scheduled for seal coating: Highway 32 from Fertile to the junction with Trunk Highway 2; Highway 92 from Bagley to Zerkel; Highway 72 from Baudette to thirteen miles south; Highway 11 from five miles west of Baudette to Baudette; Highway 11 from Roosevelt to Williams; and Highway 313 from Warroad to the U.S. / Canadian border. Hill cautions motorists to slow down when entering and traveling through these work zones. Flaggers along with pilot cars will be used for traffic control. He added, "Drivers can expect delays of 10 to 15 minutes in some situations, with speed reductions due to loose rock on the roadway."
