Bemidji, Mn. - Beginning Friday morning, July 29th, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will start the second phase detour to accommodate the continuation of centerline culvert replacements along Highway 71 from the east junction with Highway 200 at Kabekona Corner to the junction with Hubbard County Highway 9 (South Plantagenet Road),

According to Mn/DOT Project Engineer Bill Pirkl, the first phase of the detour which has been in place since July 18th is being removed on July 29th opening the second phase of the detour which is expected to be in place until mid-August.

The second phase detour will utilize CSAH 16 from Highway 71 east to CSAH 36, on CSAH 36 from CSAH 16 north to CSAH 9, and on CSAH 9 from CSAH 36 west to Trunk Highway 71.
