Bemidji, Mn. - The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is announcing a tentative start date of the week of June 13th for a resurfacing project on Highway 1 through Red Lake and Redby in Beltrami County. The twelve mile project extends from the south junction with Highway 89 in Red Lake to the east reservation line. The resurfacing project which is a mill and overlay process consists of milling the old bituminous and placing new mix in a continuous operation. The contractor, Hardrives Inc., is planning on working 12-14 hours a day, five days a week depending on weather conditions. Traffic control operations will be in place and will require alternative use of a single lane through the construction zone. Motorists are being asked to slow down and obey all traffic safety instructions. The project is expected to be complete by mid to late July. For updated
