Resurfacing of Hwy. 59 from the junction of Highway 1 and 59 to Newfolden is underway today; paving scheduled to start Monday, May 23rd |

Bemidji, Mn. -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is alerting the public about a bituminous resurfacing project it began today on Highway 59 from the junction with Highway 1 and 59 in Thief River Falls to Newfolden in Marshall County. The total length of the project is 17.2 miles. Shawn Groven, Mn/DOT Project Engineer, said paving is scheduled to start Monday, May 23rd and expected to take about three weeks with completion by June 8th, weather permitting. Motorists are asked to slow down and obey flagging operations in the construction zone. For updated
