First public meeting scheduled to discuss Trunk Highway 64 construction - detour goes into effect this week |

Bemidji, Mn. -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will be holding the first of weekly public meetings related to construction operations and progress of the reconstruction of Trunk Highway 64 from Akeley to Hubbard County Road 33. The first
meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 3rd, at 10:00 a.m. at the
Akeley Regional Community Center, 220 Pleasant Avenue S.E. in
Akeley. Frontier Construction of Deer River is the prime contractor
and will determine the following dates of each weekly meeting.
All interested individuals are encouraged to attend. Hubbard CSAH
33 and 13 will be posted for 9 ton axle weights. No overweight
or over width permits will be issued. Highway 64 from Hubbard
CSAH 33 south to Trunk Highway 87 is currently posted at 7 ton
until spring weight restrictions are lifted on May 20, 2005. For updated
