Bemidji, MN. -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will be holding a public information meeting to discuss issues related to a proposed construction project on Trunk Highway 71, from the east junction with Trunk Highway 200 at Kabekona Corner to the junction with County State Aid Highway 9 (South Plantangenet Road). The construction project, which is scheduled for a March 25, 2005 letting will include pavement resurfacing, culvert replacement, turn lane construction and a temporary detour.

The public information meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at the Mn/DOT Northwest District Headquarters building located at 3920 Highway 2 West in Bemidji. The meeting will take place from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. with a brief presentation at 6:15 p.m. All interested citizens are invited to stop in at anytime during these hours to discuss the project with Mn/DOT engineering personnel.

The meeting site is handicap accessible.
