Bemidji, MN.
-- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is advising
the public to expect some traffic delays in the north bound lanes
of Trunk Highway 197 on the south side of Lake Bemidji as paving
work gets underway today.
According
to Jim Bittmann, Mn/DOT Project Supervisor, "The final bituminous
wearing course on Highway 197 is expected to be complete this
week along with the paving of the recreational trail that runs
adjacent to Highway 197." Bittmann said the completion of
the project also depends on weather conditions.
Bittmann cautions
motorists to slow down in the construction zone and be prepared
for some traffic delays due to lane closures.
