Bemidji, MN.
-- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will be
holding a public open house and hearing to discuss the reconstruction
of Trunk Highway 64, from Akeley to 10 miles south.
According
to Robb Bigelow, Mn/DOT Project Manager, the project involves
the addition of curb and gutter in the city of Akeley, along with
reconstruction of the roadway south of the city. Bigelow said
construction is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2005.
Information
about the project will be presented at the open house with formal
comments to be made at the public hearing portion of the meeting.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 4, 2004 with the open
house starting at 5:30 p.m. and the public hearing portion starting
at 6:30 p.m. The event if scheduled to take place at the Akeley
Senior Center, 25 Broadway St. East in Akeley. All interested
citizens are encouraged to attend.
