Bemidji, MN. -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) Northwest District would like to notify the public that a portion of Trunk Highway 200 from the junction of Hwy. 32 east to Norman County Highway 36 will be restricted to 5 tons beginning at noon on Monday, March 1st.

According to Terry Sorenson, Mn/DOT Maintenance Supervisor, "the restriction is necessary to preserve this section of roadway which was under construction last fall." Sorenson explained a two-inch layer of bituminous is currently in place until construction can resume again this spring.

Mn/DOT will announce at a later date details of a construction detour for this project that will be put in place in weeks to come.
