Mn/DOT Warns Drivers of Winter Road Conditions

Bemidji, MN. --- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is warning drivers to be alert to changing conditions on Minnesota roads as winter sets in. Forecasts predict 2-7 inches of snow across Minnesota today and tomorrow. With snowfall comes decreasing temperatures and visibility, which can make driving difficult. Motorists can expect to encounter scattered slippery areas and should be prepared to slow down to avoid collisions.

Mn/DOT advises motorists to allow yourselves more time to get to your destination, turn your headlights on for better visibility, turn off your cruise control and keep a safe distance from other vehicles, especially snowplows and other large trucks.
