Bemidji, Mn. -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is notifying the public that northbound traffic in the construction zone of Highway 197 (Paul Bunyan Drive S.W.) will be switched to a new through lane with the left turn lane also opened beginning Monday, September 29th.

According to Jim Bittmann, Mn/DOT Project Engineer, as traffic is switched over work will continue in the northbound right lane and drivers are asked to keep alert and slow down in the construction area.

Bittmann said he anticipates that all northbound traffic lanes on this section of the Highway 197 will be open by the end of October or early November.
