Bemidji, MN. --- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT)
is announcing the start of a construction project in Bemidji on
Trunk Highway 71 from the junction with Trunk Highway 197, also
known as Paul Bunyan Drive N.W., to approximately five miles north.
According
to Larry Randall, Mn/DOT Project Supervisor, the work will start
on Tuesday, September 2nd and is expected to be complete by September
27th.
Randall said
the project would consist of some milling, a bituminous overlay
and guardrail improvements. Randall added, "traffic will
be reduced to one lane during daylight hours so motorists can
expect some delays."
Mn/DOT is
asking drivers to be extremely cautious and slow down in the work
zone.
