Bemidji, MN.
--- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is announcing
the start of a construction project on Trunk Highway 371 from
north of the south junction of Trunk Highway 200 to the Walker
City Park in Cass County beginning Monday, July 21st.
According
to Larry Randall, Mn/DOT Project Supervisor, "the project
is a mill and overlay with bypass and turn lanes and is expected
to last until mid to late September, depending on the weather."
Randall said,
"Drivers are being advised to slow down and be extremely
cautious for changing traffic conditions. " He added, "this
is a high-traffic area and motorists will experience lane closures
and delays."
Flagging operations
will be in use and drivers are reminded that anyone caught speeding
through a work zone will be fined double.
