Bemidji, MN.
--- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is advising
the public that work to improve a portion of the east bound lanes
of Trunk Highway 2 between Erskine and Trunk Highway 32 will begin
today, July 7th.
According
to Shawn Groven, Mn/DOT Project Engineer, the work will consist
of bituminous milling, concrete crack and sealing and a bituminous
overlay.
Groven said
"starting Monday, July 14th, traffic on the east bound lanes
will be switched over to the west bound lanes, with traffic reduced
to one lane in each direction." Groven added, "the speed
limit will be reduced through the construction zone to 55 mph
and motorists are asked to obey all signing instructions."
Groven estimates
the project to be complete by mid-September, depending on weather
conditions.
