Bemidji, MN.
--- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT), Red Lake
Engineering and Red Lake Builders is advising the public that
work on Highway 1 between Red Lake and Redby will get underway
on Tuesday, July 8th.
According
to Gordie Jallen of Red Lake Builders, the project will consist
of widening the shoulders of Highway 1 and providing a bituminous
overlay. Jallen said the speed limit will be reduced and traffic
will be directed to alternating use of a single lane through each
section of the work. The work is expected to be complete by the
end of August.
In an area
that has steady traffic, Mn/DOT cautions drivers to slow down,
be patient and allow more time to get through the construction
zone.
