Bemidji, Mn. -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) would like to alert drivers about upcoming repair work that will be done on portions of Trunk Highway 11 between Baudette and Indus beginning on Monday, August 26, 2002.

Heavy rains during June and early July caused damage to portions of Highway 11, it's shoulders and washed out areas of in-slopes. An effort to prevent further damage to Highway 11 is being conducted under an emergency repair contract with Bowman Asphalt Inc. of International Falls.

Highway 11 will be kept open during the work, but traffic will be restricted to intermittent use of one lane at times.

Mn/DOT is asking drivers to be patient and use extreme caution in these areas as work gets underway. The work is expected to be complete by October 15, 2002.
