Bemidji, Mn. -- Motorists are being advised that the construction detour unto Clearwater County Highway 2 from Highway 200 near Itasca Park is closed until further notice due to washouts in several areas caused by heavy rains.

Larry Randall, Mn/DOT Project Supervisor, said drivers who may be using the detour route, must now take Highway 71 into Bemidji, then west on T.H. 2 to Bagley and then south on Hwy. 92 until further notice.

Mn/DOT also cautions motorists using T.H. 92 south of Bagley to be alert for water over the road. Although Hwy. 92 is open, several areas are signed and drivers should proceed with caution.
