Bemidji, Mn.
-- The starting date for construction work to improve the bridge
over the Red River on T. H. 1 west of Oslo in Marshall County
was expected to begin on Monday, June 10th, according to Shawn
Groven, Project Engineer for the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
But as of today, that starting date has been officially changed
to Monday, June 17th.
Until construction
actually begins the bridge will remain open for public use. Groven
said the work is still expected to be completed by the end of
July.
The work requires
that the bridge over the Red River be closed and a detour put
in place with westbound traffic being routed north on T.H. 220,
west on T.H. 317, then south on Interstate 29.
Mn/DOT would
like to thank the public for their patience and cooperation during
construction.
