Bemidji,
Minn—
The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) would like to
alert drivers that Washington Avenue, or Trunk Highway 197, from
the junction with County Road 50 to Roosevelt Road will be closed
beginning Monday, June 3rd, for approximately one week.
This closure
will allow storm and sewer work to be conducted as part of the
T.H. 197 reconstruction project and also to accommodate Burlington
Northern Railroad to work on the tracks and install a new crossing
and signal system.
Access to
businesses can still be gained from Shevlin Avenue on the north
or from the south via Washington Avenue which will remain open
up to the Luekens' parking lot.
Drivers are
urged to keep alert and drive with extreme caution through the
construction zone.
