Bemidji, Minn— The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is alerting the public to a project that is starting Thursday, May 23rd, on Trunk Highway 200 from the east side of Clearwater County Park to the east junction of Clearwater County Highway 2.

According to Larry Randall, Mn/DOT Project Supervisor, "the work is a grading and bituminous surfacing project which requires a detour." The detour route is approximately 21 miles with eastbound traffic routed unto T.H. 92, east on Clearwater County 36 to Clearwater County 2, then south on Clearwater County 2 to T.H. 200. The route for westbound traffic would be reversed.

Randall said, "The road will be completely torn up and motorists should not attempt to drive around the barricades". The project is expected to be completed in late September.
