Bemidji, Mn.
--- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is cautioning
all motorists to drive with care this weekend, especially in areas
where construction work has begun.
Anglers and
other travelers to the northwest area of the state are advised
of construction in the following areas:
Trunk Highway
72 north of Blackduck is detoured for a culvert replacement. The
detour route is north on T.H. 71 from Blackduck to the junction
with T.H. 1, then west back unto T.H. 72.
A new bridge
is under construction on T.H. 197 in the city of Bemidji. Traffic
lanes are open but motorists should be extremely alert for congestion
in the area. Pedestrians and fishermen are also asked to keep
away from the construction area along the Mississippi River under
and near the T.H. 197 project.
