Bemidji, Mn. -- Construction work to improve the bridge over the Red River on T. H. 1 west of Oslo in Marshall county is expected to begin on Monday, May 20th, according to Shawn Groven, Project Engineer for the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The work requires that the bridge be closed and a detour put in place on May 20th, with westbound traffic being routed north on T.H. 220, west on T.H. 317, then south on Interstate 29.

Groven said the project is expected to be completed by late June or early July.
