Bemidji, Minn—The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is announcing that construction on trunk highway 200 east of the junction with highway 371 to just west of the junction with trunk highway 84 will begin on Monday, August 6, 2001.

According to Roger Bachmann, Mn/DOT Project Supervisor, "the project is approximately 16 miles and will consist of bituminous milling and surfacing and a culvert replacement". Bachmann added, "the work will be done under flagging operations so motorists are being asked to slow down and follow all signing instructions."

The project is expected to be completed by late September, depending on weather conditions.

Mn/DOT urges all motorists to slow down when approaching any construction zone area and allow yourself more time to get to your destination.
