Bemidji, Mn.—.The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is advising the public that construction on T.H. 1 east of the Red Lake Reservation boundary to the junction with T.H. 72, will begin on Thursday, June 28th. To accommodate the work, a detour will be put in place directing traffic unto County Roads 32 and 15. According to Jim Bittman, Mn/DOT Project Engineer, "the work will consist of culvert replacement and bituminous milling and overlay." Bittman cautions motorists to plan extra time for the 23 mile detour around the project which is not expected to be completed until late August. Mn/DOT would like to remind all motorists, that when you "See Orange", please slow down and obey all traffic signing instructions.
