Bemidji, Minn— The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is alerting the public that construction to replace bridges over Miller Creek and Wabanica Creek on T.H. 172 in Lake of the Woods county, north of Baudette will begin on Monday, June 4^th.

According to Duane Hill, Mn/DOT Bridge Engineer, "Trunk Highway 172 in the vicinity of the bridges will be closed and traffic will be detoured unto Trunk Highway 11 and Lake of the Woods County Roads 6 and 39." Hill added, "detailed signing will be provided to direct travelers to the businesses located on Trunk Highway 172."

The project is expected to be completed in early September. Swingen Construction Company of Grand Forks, North Dakota is the prime contractor.
