MN/DOT
WILL RE-OPEN TRUNK HIGHWAY 6 BETWEEN DEER RIVER AND TALMOON NEXT
WEEK
Bemidji,
Mn. --- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is notifying
the
public that effective Monday, September 25th, it will
officially re-open that portion of T.H. 6 north
of Deer River to Talmoon which has been closed for construction.
Roger
Bachmann, Mn/DOT Project Supervisor, cautions motorists that although
the detour
will be off, work continues on the project for at least 3 more weeks.
Bachmann said, "paving
of the highway is underway and drivers are asked to proceed with
caution through the
area, as flagging operations are in effect." He added, "in
addition to paving, shoulder work
and turf establishment also will be taking place and motorists should
be alert to equipment
and workers in the area."
Mn/DOT
would like to thank the public for their patience during the construction
season.
