WORK CONTINUES ON T.H. 34 FROM PARK RAPIDS TO OSAGE
Bemidji,
Mn. --- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is advising
motorists that
construction work to improve T.H. 34 from Park Rapids to Osage continues
and is not expected to be completely
finished until the end of August or early September.
The
$1.5 million project consists of milling, overlay, turn lanes, by-pass
lanes and culvert repair. According
to Todd Vonasek, Mn/DOT Resident Engineer in Construction, paving
of the final surface is tentatively
scheduled to start sometime during the week of July 17th.
Vonasek added, "however, we have made
some adjustments to the schedules due to equipment availability,
but we do anticipate this project will
remain on schedule."
Other
work remaining consists of finishing on turn lanes, painting/striping,
some shoulder work, top
soil and sodding.
Mn/DOT
would like to thank drivers for their patience through construction
zones and remind the public
that when you "See Orange, we're in the work zone together."
See
ORANGE.
