PAINT STRIPING CREWS WILL BE WORKING IN BEMIDJI AND ROSEAU
THIS WEEK, MOTORISTS CAUTIONED TO SLOW DOWN
Bemidji,
Mn. C The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) would
like to alert motorists
that it's paint striping crews are scheduled to be working in Bemidji
and Roseau this week.
This schedule includes T.H. 197 through the city of Bemidji.
The
paint striping operation is slow moving and motorists are cautioned
to slow down when
approaching these areas and pass with care. Brad Knutson, MnDOT
Project Supervisor advises
motorists to, "avoid crossing over freshly painted areas to
minimize the potential of getting
paint on your car." Knutson reported that Mn/DOT is using an
epoxy paint which is more durable,
expected to last longer, and takes longer to dry than the previously
used latex paint which
had a water base.
Mn/DOT
would also like to advise the public that these schedules are contingent
upon the
weather and are adjusted as needed. Please remember, when you "See
Orange", slow down,
we're in the work zone together.
See
ORANGE.
