About District 2
District 2 serves Kittson, Roseau, Lake of the Woods, Marshall, Beltrami, Polk, Pennington, Red Lake, Clearwater, Norman, Hubbard and parts of Cass, Mahnomen, and Koochiching counties. These 14 counties in northwestern Minnesota comprise as District 2 of MnDOT.
District 2's headquarters are located in Bemidji, and the maintenance headquarters are in Crookston. A construction sub-office is located in Thief River Falls.
Services
The MnDOT team in District 2 plans, designs, constructs and maintains the state and federal highway systems within district boundaries. We also manage the aid and assistance given to county and city systems that qualify for state and federal dollars. District 2 provides transit, trail and rail transportation services. There are also 17 truck stations located throughout the district.
