I-35 Snake River bridge replacement project

In Pine County

Traffic impact

  • Southbound I-35 between the Pine County line and Hwy 7 has opened to two lanes of traffic, however motorists will still encounter some short, single-lane sections, Mondays through Fridays until October 28.
  • Northbound I-35 between the Pine County line and Hwy 7 is open to two lanes of traffic, however motorists will still encounter some short, single-lane sections, Mondays through Fridays until October 28.
  • Southbound and northbound I-35 between the Pine County line and Hwy 7will be open to both lanes, with no single lane sections on weekends.
  • Traffic over the Snake River (approximately one mile) will remain in two-lane, two way configuration on the northbound side. The southbound bridge is still under construction and is expected reopen about October 28.

I-35 Snake River Construction Schedule
April 2018 – October 2018
First stage: Construct seven miles of northbound I-35 pavement and the northbound I-35 Snake River Bridge.
Second stage: Construct seven miles of southbound I-35 pavement and the southbound I-35 Snake River Bridge.
