2014 work:

  • Resurface 21 miles of pavement from Askov to just north of Duquette.
    Traffic impacts: Lane closures controlled by flaggers. Delays are expected to be 10 to 15 minutes long.

2015 work:

  • Remove box culvert in Duquette, construct a new bridge and approaches.
    Traffic impacts: Temporary-lane closure for box culvert removal, detour during construction of the new bridge.

  • New bridge and approaches at Nemadji River, improve stream habitat at Deer Creek.
    Traffic impacts: Detour.

  • New bridge and approaches.
    Traffic impacts: Temporary-lane closures, flaggers.

  • Resurface bridge deck, replace expansion joints.
    Traffic impacts: Single-lane traffic controlled by signals or flaggers.

  • On Hwy 23 in Pine County, from the Junction of Main Street in Askov to 0.4 miles east of the Pine, Carlton County line, resurface 21 miles of Hwy 23, during August 2014

  • On Hwy 23, 15.9 miles northeast of the south Carlton County line, construct a new bridge and approaches, temporary-lane closures, flaggers
  • On Hwy 23, 9.5 miles northeast of the south Carlton County line, construct a new bridge and approaches at Nemadji River, improve stream habitat at Deer Creek, detour
  • On Hwy 23, 0.1 miles northeast of Duquette, remove box culvert, construct a new bridge and approaches, temporary-lane closure for box culvert removal, detour during construction of the new bridge
  • On Hwy 23, at the St. Louis River (Wisconsin border), resurface bridge deck, replace expansion joints, single-lane traffic controlled by signals or flaggers
