2015 work is complete
Summary of work summer 2016
- On Hwy 23, at the St. Louis River (Wisconsin border), resurface bridge deck, replace expansion joints
Traffic impacts: Single-lane traffic controlled by signals or flaggers.
Estimated project cost: $3.5 million
- On Hwy 23, 17 miles northeast of the south Carlton County line, construct a new bridge over the BN Railroad and approaches
Traffic impacts: Minor, temporary-lane closures, flaggers
Project cost: $3,159,914
Work is finished for 2015. Work will resume in May 2016 and will be completed November 11, 2016.
The new Nemadji River Bridge is open to travel.
