Traffic impacts

Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction between 1st Street South and 10th Street South. Traffic in this area is routed on the west side of Hwy 169.  Access to 2nd St. SW, 4th St. SW and 6th St. SW is closed at Hwy 169.

All-way stop signs have been installed at 10th St. S., 7th St. S. and 1st St. S. The traffic signal at 10th St. S. is out of service until mid-September 2012.

Traffic congestion is expected especially during morning and afternoon peak travel periods. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and plan ahead to avoid delays.

Truck Route

Trucks are encouraged to use Airport Road and 7th Avenue for a parallel alternate route. Delivery access to all businesses will be maintained throughout construction.
