Highway 61 in Two Harbors reduced to a single lane
Traffic restrictions related to storm sewer pipe work, originally scheduled from Sept. 24-27, rescheduled to begin October 8.
Duluth, Minn. – Motorists traveling through Two Harbors on Highway 61 at 6th Street will be restricted to a single lane, one direction at a time, controlled by a temporary signal beginning Monday, Oct. 8. The single lane section is only a few hundred feet long at 6th Street.
The traffic restriction is necessary as crews work on a deep storm sewer pipe. Temporary concrete barrier will separate traffic from the work area.
The 7th Street signal will be “flashing red,” functioning as a stop sign. Access to downtown will be provided on 7th Street. The side streets at 6th Street will be closed during this time.
