Michael Kalnbach selected as District 1 program development assistant district engineer
DULUTH, Minn. — Michael Kalnbach, P.E., has been selected as the program development assistant district engineer for the Minnesota Department of Transportation District 1.
This is a new role for the District 1 management team that will consolidate management responsibilities for planning, project support and project management.
Kalnbach brings twenty-three years of experience working in the transportation industry including the last nine years with MnDOT District 1. In his new role he will be responsible for improving the work planning portion of the program delivery process.
“Michael’s experience includes design, construction, project management, and leadership making him a valuable addition to the management team,” said Duane Hill, District 1 district engineer.
Kalnbach earned a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from North Dakota State University, Fargo, North Dakota. He moved into his new role May 16.
