Highway 194/Mesaba Avenue lane and median closures begin Monday, May 14 in Duluth
DULUTH, Minn. — A scheduled rehabilitation and pavement repair project on Highway 194/Mesaba Ave. begins Monday, May 14 in Duluth. Motorists travelling in both directions on Mesaba Ave. will encounter left lane closures between 3rd Street and Central Entrance/East Skyline Parkway.
Median crossovers will close at:
- W. 4th Street
- N. 4th Ave. west
- N. Lake Ave.
- N. 1st Ave east
- E. 9th Street
The project will be completed in mid-October 2018.
Once completed the project will improve ride quality, safety, and mobility.
Minnesota Department of Transportation work on Highway 194/Mesaba Ave. occurs at the same time as a City of Duluth project to reconstruct Superior Street.
Motorists may experience delays and are asked to use caution when driving through work areas.
