Highway 11 lane closures begin Tuesday, May 15 in Koochiching County
DULUTH, Minn. — A scheduled project to remove and replace the Hwy 11 Bridge in the City of Ranier over the CN Railroad tracks begins Tuesday, May 15. Motorists will encounter flagging operations and be restricted to one lane of traffic during the daytime. This stage of work is anticipated to last two weeks.
Once initial staging work has been completed, a temporary portable signal system will be put in place to provide traffic control allowing a single lane of traffic over the Hwy 11 Bridge throughout the duration of the summer.
Once completed the project will replace aging infrastructure and improve safety.
Motorists should be prepared to stop are asked to use caution when driving through the work area.
