Work begins May 3 on Hwy 61 bridge rehabilitation project in Beaver Bay
DULUTH, Minn. —A project to rehabilitate the Highway 61 Beaver Bay Bridge begins Wednesday, May 3. Motorists will not be able to use the shoulders in the project area as they will be closed while workers construct a temporary work platform beneath the bridge.
The remainder of construction operations will begin on Monday, May 22. A single lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained for the duration of the project.
The finished project will improve safety and provide a smoother and improved driving surface.
