Blatnik Bridge to reopen October 7 in Duluth
Work completed three weeks ahead of schedule
DULUTH, Minn. —All lanes of the Blatnik Bridge will reopen by 9 a.m. Friday, October 7. This is three weeks ahead of the scheduled completion date for a construction project that has been underway since August 22.
The northbound off-ramp to Garfield Avenue will not reopen until late in the day Friday, October 7 to allow for the remaining work on Garfield Avenue to be completed.
In addition to the structural work done on the bridge, WisDOT and MnDOT maintenance crews repaired guardrail, installed new luminaires, upgraded signing and did deck sealing.
MnDOT and WisDOT jointly thank the public for their patience during this project.
