Work resumes on Hwy 23/Grand Avenue project April 11 in Duluth

DULUTH, Minn. —Work resumes Monday, April 11 on the Grand Avenue pavement rehabilitation and bridge project in West Duluth.

Traffic will be restricted to a single lane in each direction near the Duluth Zoo between 76th Avenue West and 72nd Avenue West as crews finish construction on the new bridge at Kingsbury Creek. Work on the bridge is expected to be completed in mid- to late-June.

The project work area will expand over the next two weeks as construction work needs to be completed on the northbound lanes of Highway 23 from 75th Avenue West to Interstate 35.

Motorists should expect delays.

The completed project will improve safety and mobility.
