Routine ramp inspection project scheduled April 19, 20 in Duluth

Motorists should follow signed, alternative routes

DULUTH, Minn. — Routine ramp inspections will take place at the I-535/I-35 “Can of Worms” interchange Tuesday, April 19 and at the Bong Bridge interchange Wednesday, April 20.

Signs will be posted to direct motorists to alternate routes. Ramps scheduled to close.

Tuesday, April 19, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The ramp from northbound I-35 to northbound Highway 53 will close.

Wednesday, April 20, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The ramp from northbound Highway 2 to northbound I-35 will close.

All ramps will be open for the morning and evening peak travel times.

Motorists are asked to be patient and drive carefully near the work zone areas.

Ramp and bridge inspections help ensure that the infrastructure is reliable and safe for freight movement and as transportation routes.
