Hwy 61 traffic restrictions begin June 9 in Cook County
DULUTH, Minn. – Motorists will encounter intermittent, single lane traffic on Hwy 61 near Lutsen in Cook County beginning Monday, June 9 as crews begin a resurfacing and culvert replacement project. These traffic restrictions will remain in effect until the project is completed in October 2014.
Flaggers or temporary signals will direct traffic.
This project includes resurfacing Hwy 61 from 1.15 miles south of County Road 5 to 1.23 miles north of County Road 7, culvert and drainage improvements.
The completed project will improve safety and freight movement.
