Orange barrels on a highway

Hwy 2 night work begins June 24 in Proctor

Work is being done overnight for safety and to minimize traffic delays

DULUTH, Minn. — Motorists will be restricted to a single lane at the intersection of Hwy 2 and Boundary Ave. in Proctor beginning 7 p.m., Monday, June 24. Weather permitting, work may be completed early Tuesday evening, June 25 or by Wednesday, June 26. The nighttime work will only occur Monday night through Tuesday morning, while all other work on the project will be during daytime hours.

Crews will remove the top portion of the existing pavement throughout the night and will lay new pavement during the day.

All businesses are accessible during this project. Drivers are encouraged to follow traffic control signs, use caution when traveling through the work zone and expect possible delays.

The work is being done overnight to minimize traffic delays and increase safety for motorists/crews.

Crews are resurfacing the pavement to make Hwy 2 a smoother, safer ride and to extend the serviceable life of the pavement/roadway.
