I-535/Blatnik Bridge southbound lane to close May 13 in Duluth


DULUTH, Minn. — The southbound/Superior-bound, right lane on the I-35/Blatnik Bridge, will close to traffic for several weeks beginning Monday, May 13. One southbound lane will remain open.

Motorists may also encounter temporary, northbound/Duluth-bound single-lane closures between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. the week of May 13.

The Blatnik Bridge two-year rehabilitation project began in May 2012. The work being done this year includes painting and the installation of a new lighting system.

The project is scheduled for completion in October 2013.
