Hwy 23 repair project begins May 20 in Fond du Lac

 

DULUTH, Minn. – Motorists traveling on Hwy 23 in Fond du Lac will encounter lane restrictions beginning Monday, May 20 while crews repair drainage structures and make pavement and sidewalk repairs.


On Monday, May 20 both directions of traffic will be shifted to the northbound lanes while work is completed on the southbound lanes. Traffic will remain in this configuration for approximately one week. After this work is completed, both directions of traffic will be shifted to the southbound lanes while work is completed on the northbound lanes. Traffic will remain in this configuration for approximately two- to three-weeks. 


The entire project is expected to be completed by mid-June.


This project is being done to repair damage caused by the June 2012 flood and to mitigate future damage.
