“Turn on the Lights!” news conference scheduled Oct. 25
WHAT: The media is invited to a news conference to celebrate the completion
of the two-year-long Blatnik Bridge Rehabilitation Project. During the event the new landmark lighting system will be turned-on for the first time.
WHO: Lt. Governor Yvonne Prettner Solon
MnDOT Commissioner, Charles Zelle and staff
MnDOT District 1 Engineer, Duane Hill and staff
Duluth Mayor, Don Ness and staff
Others invited include: Other government officials, WisDOT officials and contractors
WHEN: Friday, Oct. 25 at 5:30 p.m.
WHERE: Off Port Terminal Drive, just east of the Blatnik Bridge
OTHER: The event will be held in a tent adjacent to the old bridge/fishing pier. The media may also do interviews at the end of the old bridge/fishing pier. See map.
