Tree and brush clearing project scheduled for Hovland area
DULUTH, Minn. — Motorists traveling on Hwy 61 between Judge Magney State Park and the Big Bay area may notice a tree and brush clearing project along the highway during the new few weeks.
The trees and brush being cut are either growing too close to Hwy 61, are damaged, diseased or are obscuring visibility. Areas to be cut have been flagged.
Ads informing residents about this highway safety improvement project were also published locally in fall 2011.
