IMCC Online Training

One of the requirements to obtain Minnesota For-hire Operating Authority is to attend an Initial Motor Carrier Contact (IMCC) training class. This online training course fulfills the compliance standards as required by Minnesota Statutes 221.124. You must take this course within 90 days of being issued a certificate or your authority will be cancelled. The IMCC training course includes a general overview of the safety regulations, operating authority, and registration requirements.

When completing the online IMCC training, please follow these instructions carefully:
  • You must complete all seven modules. At the end of each module you will be given a code.
  • You must keep track of the codes you receive after each module. To assist you in tracking these codes, please print this form.
  • You must submit the codes to MnDOT’s Office of Freight and Commercial Vehicle Operations.
You do not need to complete all seven modules at one time. Please keep in mind this online course will not bookmark your progress. We recommended that you complete an entire module before exiting the training.

Once you have completed all seven modules and recorded the codes, you can submit the form via mail, fax or e-mail.
