The NHI Basic Materials Module is a self directed Learning Module that will be of use to students taking classes offered through the Minnesota Department of Transportation. This training is directed to the beginning technician to give them a general overview of the basic materials used in construction or as a refresher course for those working in the field. To get started:

After you have familiarized yourself with the navigation of the module, click on the Aggregates link below. This is a self directed learning module. You can start or stop the module at any time. Be sure to take the quizzes to determine how you are doing. Continue through the Portland Cement Concrete and the Hot Mix Asphalt modules to complete the series.
