About the project

This project to overlay I-694 between 40th Street in Oakdale and Hwy 61 in Maplewood with new concrete pavement will reduce I-694 to a single lane in each direction during the construction period.

The new concrete surface is expected to last 25-30 years. Guardrail, culvert, bridge and ramp repairs will also be made as part of this project.

Project benefits

• Address poor pavement and other infrastructure conditions along I-694
• Improve traffic flow and safety at the interchange by adding extended acceleration lanes in the I-694/Hwy 36 interchange
